This will take place in October. Suzy Augustyn demonstrated the foundation piecing this Friday at Sew Happy. Even though a small group was present, the lesson was fantastic and very worthwhile. Paper piecing is now a simple option for blocks which goes by fast. Thanks to Suzy for taking great notes at the September meeting.
BRING YOUR PROJECTS FOR SHOW AND TELL! * Suzy brought paper piecing projects, passed out an article on foundation piecing tips and a copy of a possible project for beginners called Interwoven Diamonds. * Shirley brought her "block of the month" quilt that was purchase from Sew Happy Fabrics when they first opened. Just beautiful! Thank you, Shirley * Marian brought in some of the row by row patterns she collected on her recent quilt shop field trip. It was great to see what other shops were doing. NEXT MEETING: Naomi will show us how to make the fabric strip wreaths. Wire base is found at Michael's. Fabric strips should be approximately 8" x 1" or 3/4". They do not have to be exact.
