--Marian, Naomi and Lee brought pillow cases ready to donate for "Ryan's Cases of Smiles". These pillow cases will now be available to any sick children in any hospital. ---

Happy Birthday to Naomi Powers. We sang to her and had birthday cake that Marian brought to her.

Discussion was held concerning waist band alterations on store bought jeans/pants. Many options were considered as well as demonstrated.

We had a 'musical chair' pass around of the zip lock bags full of scraps. Everyone got a different bag and was thrilled with the results. The SCRAP BAG EXCHANGE IS EVERY EVEN MONTH! Bring your zip lock bag of fabric scraps to pass around. Never know what's going to appear in those zip lock bags of scraps!

NEXT MEETING:

Sew Happy Fabrics will reveal their 2016 Home Sweet Home Row

Sharon will demonstrate her method of making flying geese. She says it's a very easy method she's learned using a ruler by Deb Tucker. The ruler is sold at Sew Happy also.

Bring ideas for short projects and demos for future meetings.

BRING YOUR PROJECTS FOR SHOW AND TELL!

*Marian brought in some animal prints for making mug rugs for fundraisers for the Clayton Animal hospital.

*Debbie showed more of her mom's quilts. One was a flowered applique pattern looked like it was done from a kit probably in the sixty's. The other quilt was one that had lady bug fabric backing and a log cabin variation block on the other side.

*Naomi brought in her round robin quilt finished. For the newer members we explained what we did with the round robin blocks and how successful it seemed to be.
