March 18th is the next meeting

The Guild meets each third Friday of the month at 10:30 to noon. When there is a holiday falling on that week, it will be rescheduled usually the following Friday. After each meeting all are welcome to sit and sew on their projects. This newsletter will be sent to you once per month after the Friday meetings have taken place. Meetings generally consist of show and tell items, information exchanges, questions and answers, Sewing/quilting problem solving, themed fat quarter drawing, demonstrations and reports of different shows and stores others have visited.

New members are always welcome.

There is No cost to join this guild. .

Great gifts!! --Marian brought pillow cases ready to donate. She used shortened lengths of fabric and added a different border to make them full length.

The organization the Guild makes pillow cases has a new name. It is "Ryan's Cases of Smiles". These pillow cases will now be available to any sick children in any hospital.

The SCRAP BAG EXCHANGE IS EVERY EVEN MONTH! Bring your zip lock bag of fabric scraps to pass around. Never know what's going to appear in those zip lock bags of scraps!

*Marian brought in her plastic bag holders she's made for different seasons or months. Displayed in the kitchen it brings delightful conversation!

*Debbie showed her the Raffle quilt for the Clayton Band competition on February 20th at the high school. Marian and Debbie make a quilt to raffle for each Band competition hosted by Clayton High School. *Debbie brought the log cabin baby quilt to be given to her great niece. *Debbie also brought some patterns from the AccuQuilt.com website for pocket organizers and storage boxes made from Quilting blocks. Maybe a future project.

*Marian brought a photo album of her sewing projects made over the years. She has increased her knowledge, abilities and skills as evidenced in the photos.

*Peggy brought in her blue purse made of fabric prints from Africa. Also a peach and sage purse with pockets, a String quilt made ten years ago as well as a jacket using design techniques she learned from a class taken 20 years ago! Knowledge never is wasted.
